Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian had honest conversations with their respective kids about their reactions to Tristan Thompson‘s brother, Amari.
In the course of the Thursday, April 3, episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Khloé, 40, threw a celebration for Thompson’s sibling. The remaining of the Kardashian family attended with their children — and a few of them were cautious around Amari, who has been diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
“My kids are way more exposed to Amari than a number of the other kids. So True is more concerned than afraid of Amari,” Khloé, who shares kids True, 6, and Tatum, 2, with Thompson, 34, shared. “But I do think it is crucial for our children — and everybody’s kids — to be exposed to all several types of people.”
Kim, 44, had an identical outlook in relation to her kids with Kanye West.
“I like our children growing up around him and helping him,” Kim, who shares North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, with West, 47, noted of her kids’ interactions with Amari. “They’ve numerous questions and at times they won’t be probably the most comfortable. But I feel it’s so vital that they play with him and so they really get to know him.”
While filming the show, Kim asked if Chicago and her friends are “a little bit bit scared,” adding, “But it surely is OK should you are.” The party continued, with the guests having fun with the festivities while Amari later had a transient seizure, which upset Kris Jenner.
Thompson was named Amari’s temporary guardian in September 2023 after their mother, Andrea, died from a heart attack. Amari suffers from epilepsy and in consequence requires a faithful caretaker.

“Dearest mommy in heaven, It has been one month because you’ve been gone. I’m in disbelief. I’m within the deepest a part of sorrow & grief,” Thompson wrote via Instagram in February 2023. “My soul is empty as I come to terms that my biggest supporter/superhero is gone. I cannot thank you adequate for all the time being a lady of religion, being one among God’s warriors, fighting back with regardless of the world threw our way. You consistently protected us through prayer. My hero you fought all of the battles you needed to and it was time so that you can go home.”
Thompson, who’s the oldest of 4 siblings, thanked his mother for her dedication. He went on to issue an apology for the mistakes he made in his life — and the way they played out in the general public eye.
“All I can say is, I’m sorry mommy for the flawed decisions I’ve made in my life. I’m sorry for the embarrassment & pain. You raised me higher than what I used to be capable of show you,” he continued. “But I actually have also learned sorry shouldn’t be enough. Actions speak louder than worlds. So I won’t just express regret. Stay tuned to the ways I’ll show the world what an incredible son you raised. I’ll show you that even once we fall & make mistakes, we get back up. You’re my motivation. Stand beside me as I change into the person I do know you usually believed in. I’m going to make you proud, I promise!”
Thompson’s loss was addressed on The Kardashians when he briefly moved in with ex Khloé.

“Tristan has a house that he’s doing construction on and renovating. He was capable of live there during renovations but we had crazy weather for California, like extreme rain. Tristan’s roof caved in on his home and caused flooding,” Khloé said during a season 3 episode. “So Tristan and [his youngest brother] Amari are staying at my house now until his home gets fixed. I’m grateful that I’m strong enough and brave enough to be a support system for another person that has no other support system without delay.”
On the time, a source expanded on the exes’ living situation, telling Us that Khloé has remained in Thompson’s corner despite their messy split.
“Khloé loves Tristan’s brother Amari and she or he has every intention of being there to assist take care of him every step of the best way. Khloé has a heart of gold, and she or he looks like it’s the very least she will be able to do after the tragic lack of their mom,” an insider shared in February 2023. “Khloé knows how tough it’s losing a parent and she or he has such a maternal nature about her. Like she mentioned in her online tribute to Andrea, she’s going to help take care of Amari at any cost.”
