Lucas Bravo Teases Emily in Paris Season 5 Will Be ‘The Best’

Lucas Bravo is giving Us fans a transient update on his return to Emily in Paris season 5.

“We’re starting filming in May,” Bravo, 37, told Parade on the Thursday, April 4, opening night of the Broadway play Good Night, and Good Luck. “I feel it’s one of the best season to date.”

Bravo has played Gabriel (a.k.a. the recent chef) on all 4 seasons of Emily in Paris, which was created by Sex and the City exec Darren Star. Gabriel is certainly one of the on-off love interests of the titular Emily (Lily Collins) when she relocates from Chicago to Paris for work. At the top of season 4, Emily temporarily moved to Rome to move the brand new Italian division of her luxury marketing agency — with latest love interest Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) by her side.

“I had lunch with Darren a number of days back, and he told me a bit without telling me an excessive amount of,” Bravo quipped on Thursday. “I feel fans are going to lose it. It’s the craziest one to date.”

Courtesy of Netflix It doesn’t appear to be Lucas Bravo is looking forward to season 5 of Netflix’s Emily in Paris. Bravo, 36, has played Gabriel, the recent, French chef neighbor and love interest to Lily Collins’ Emily, since season 1. He reprised the role for season 4, which premiered on Netflix in August 2024, but […]

While the French actor teased his excitement to return to Emily in Paris, he played coy when Parade asked whether he’d have any special set visitors.

“Will Shailene [Woodley] be joining you on set in any respect?” the reporter asked, referring to the recent speculation that the 33-year-old actress is seeing Bravo romantically. (Neither Woodley nor Bravo have addressed the rumors, though Bravo told People on Thursday that he was “really glad.”)

With fun, Bravo replied, “Who? I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

While Bravo’s Gabriel has been a fan-favorite character on the Netflix hit, the actor hasn’t at all times felt the identical.

“Life is brief. It takes five months to shoot this series. Do I would like to sacrifice them by telling something that doesn’t stimulate me?” Bravo told France’s Le Figaro newspaper in October 2024, hinting he was mulling whether to return for season 5. “I are not looking for to be a component of a cog that doesn’t are likely to take the intelligence of viewers into consideration.”

Bravo stressed on the time that he desired to see Gabriel have more “panache.”

“I don’t really have any freedom,” he stated. “And as individuals are starting to present it to me elsewhere, I get a taste for it.”

That very same month, Bravo told IndieWire that he had grown “apart” from the character.

“The ‘sexy chef’ was very much a part of me in season 1 and we grew apart season after season due to the selections he makes and due to the direction they make him take,” Bravo explained in October 2024. “I’ve never been to date away from him.”
