An alleged UFO attack on Soviet forces that turned troops to stone has been revealed in a declassified CIA file from the Cold War.

The 250-page KGB report, acquired by the CIA, reveals what happened after a platoon fired at a flying saucer over Ukraine.

It’s claimed that the Soviets were conducting a training exercise once they spotted a ‘low-flying spaceship in the form of a saucer’ flying above.

After a missile was launched on the UFO, it was sent crashing to the bottom.

The report describes the way it, ‘fell to Earth not far-off, and five short humanoids with large heads and enormous black eyes emerged from it.’

The beings then huddled together and ‘merged right into a single object that acquired a spherical shape’.

The report continues: ‘In a number of seconds, the spheres grew much larger and exploded by flaring up with an especially brilliant light. At that very quick, 23 soldiers who had watched the phenomenon become… stone poles.’

One American eyewitness described the aftermath like ‘a horrific picture of revenge on the a part of extraterrestrial creatures, an image that makes one’s blood freeze.’

‘Only two soldiers who stood within the shade and were less exposed to the luminous explosion survived.’

Soviet scientists said that regardless of the light was managed to rework the soldiers right into a substance that was equivalent to limestone.

It also claims that the cause was a ‘source of energy’ that isn’t yet known to humans.

Other ‘alien’ sightings and stories

Stories of potential alien life are nothing recent after a pair of ‘alien mummies’ mysteriously turned up in a Peruvian airport.

The strange figurines turned up within the Lima airport offices of courier DHL in a cardboard box, and were made to appear like mummified bodies wearing traditional Andean attire.

But sadly a forensics team soon discovered that they weren’t real extraterrestrials.

More recently, Joe McMoneagle, who claims he’s a former CIA agent, says he has seen evidence of life on Mars.

S. Somanath, an Indian aerospace engineer, also told us previously that there are ‘definitely aliens on the market’.

He told The Ranveer Show host Ranveer Allahbadia: ‘Absolutely, undoubtedly. My conscience tells me yes, although I actually have no proof. Because the chairman of ISRO, I’m telling you this.’

The soldiers and UFO were reportedly taken by the KGB to a secret base in Moscow.

The report concludes: ‘If the KGB file corresponds to reality, that is an especially menacing case.

‘The Aliens possess such weapons and technology that transcend all our assumptions.

‘They’ll arise for themselves if attacked.’

The declassified file was first published in May 2000 by Canadian Weekly World News and the Ukrainian paper Holos Ukrayiny.
