She is a house owner in North Augusta who rents out her family’s home yearly throughout the Masters.

The matriarch of the Boykin family has seen huge dividends repay since she began doing this seven years ago.

And this 12 months’s return on investment was enough to repay a complete 12 months’s mortgage on the home.

Boykin and her family earned an undisclosed sum by renting out their property to visitors who got here to town for the tournament.

This 12 months’s renters were reportedly a Texas-based company that brought a big group of staff to the event.

Boykin told Business Insider concerning the technique of listing her house for rent throughout the weeks leading as much as and thru golf’s most prestigious event.

The family spends around $5,000 a 12 months to make their five-bedroom, five-bathroom home as much as snuff for the long stay.

The big property is lower than a 15-minute drive to Augusta National, making it the right stay for the patrons who flocked to Augusta in early April for the historic tournament.

“I’m one in all the rare locals who says I really like Masters week. I just want visitors to see how amazing it’s here,” Boykin said.

“Once the Christmas lights get put away, it is time to prepare.

“My kids know which sheets are Masters ones. We do not touch them.”

While renters inhabit the house, Boykin explained that she is going to periodically check in and be sure that the guests are well taken care of and every thing is true, but said that the majority of the time the guests are never there because they’re on the tournament all day.

“They don’t seem to be spending quite a lot of time in our home,” Boykin said.

To have the opportunity to rent your own home and never must worry an excessive amount of about any funny business or shenanigans makes the ROI greater than price it.

Especially considering it’s enough to repay the mortgage for the 12 months.

The Boykin family wasn’t the just one to list their home during this time of 12 months.
