Actor Mahesh Babu has landed himself into trouble as he has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on April 27 in reference to an ongoing money laundering investigation. Two real estate firms are charged within the case with defrauding purchasers; in keeping with sources, Mahesh Babu was paid Rs 5.9 crore by Sai Surya Ventures for an endorsement contract.

The inquiry has been stepped up after ED sources revealed that the cash given to the actor is suspected of being the proceeds of crime. Because the investigation into the alleged money laundering proceeds, the actor is anticipated to help the authorities.
Mahesh Babu’s involvement is currently being investigated in reference to the summons, which is an element of a bigger investigation into fraudulent real estate transactions. Many allegedly invested in consequence of the actor’s promotion of Sai Surya ventures, oblivious to the purported deception. The investigation involves two Hyderabad real estate corporations, Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group, accused of cheating buyers. The actor allegedly received Rs 5.9 crore for endorsing the projects of Sai Surya Developers, with Rs 3.4 crore paid by cheque and Rs 2.5 crore in money, in keeping with TOI.
The money payment can have been connected to money laundered through illicit means, in keeping with the ED. The inquiry began when Telangana police filed formal complaints (FIRs) against necessary individuals, akin to K Sathish Chandra Gupta, the owner of Sai Surya Developers, and Narendra Surana, the director of Bhagyanagar Properties Ltd.
