RHONJ’s Margaret Josephs Reacts to Teresa Giudice’s Tax Issues

Margaret Josephs is saddened to listen to concerning the ongoing tax issues surrounding her The Real Housewives of Recent Jersey costar Teresa Giudice.

“It’s very sad. I never wish in poor health on anybody,” Josephs, 58, exclusively told Us Weekly at Us + Maidenform’s Reality Star Style Awards party on Tuesday, April 22, at The Highlight Room in Recent York City. “I don’t want anything bad for Teresa ever.”

She added, “I never want anything bad to occur to her, and that’s why I at all times spoke up.”

News broke in March that Giudice, 52, and her husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, received greater than $3 million in tax liens on the mansion they bought in 2021. In court documents obtained by Us, Guidice and Ruelas, 50, owe $2.5 million and $303,000, respectively. A 3rd debt, meanwhile, has since been settled. Weeks later, Ruelas also filed for a mortgage modification request to increase the $1 million loan on the property.

“My mom has been the only provider for my sisters and I because the minute my father left for prison,” Gia, 21, said on the March 31 episode of her “Casual Chaos” podcast. “She has been working her a** off to be sure that my sisters and I live a stable life and that my family is financially stable. Like, I can’t stress enough how much my mom has worked. Every part might be resolved.”

She added, “My mom has every part under control, and there’s nothing to fret about. My stepdad, Luis, is probably the most amazing stepfather. He treats my sisters and I like we’re his own. He can also be working on getting every part resolved, as well. But there’s nothing to fret about. Every part’s going to be advantageous. But, thanks on your concern.”

Josephs, meanwhile, stressed on Tuesday that Teresa and Ruelas’ tax trouble was “unlucky.” Nevertheless, she did feel “vindicated” within the wake of the news, given their drama on the last seasons of RHONJ. (The 2 Housewives have been at odds for several years, with Josephs making unfounded claims about Ruelas’ intentions before marrying Teresa.)

“I feel vindicated. The actual fact is, everybody at all times said that ‘Marge desires to do something mean, desires to hurt any person.’ No, Marge is definitely protective and needs to say the reality and might sniff out something that’s not great,” she told Us. “I feel I’m brutally honest, and I feel people have a tough time receiving those things. Nobody desires to deliver unsavory news or nobody wants to listen to the hard truth. … I never wish to hurt any person purposely. I don’t want bad things to occur to anyone. And after they do, I feel sad.”
