The worlds of skilled wrestling and football are mourning the lack of a real legend.
Earlier today, it was reported that former NFL star and 4 Horsemen member, Steve “Mongo” McMichael, had entered hospice care. Sadly, an update followed confirming his passing.
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair took to social media to pay tribute to his longtime friend and colleague. He wrote,
“The world just lost the incredible Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael. He was my best friend through all of it—a tremendous athlete and human being.”
Flair continued, “I actually have the fondest memories of working with him, and that is an especially heartbreaking loss for me. I really like you, Mongo. You fought one hell of a battle. Rest in peace, my friend.”
