When Travis Hunter won the 2024 Heisman Trophy, he had the very best support system in fiancée Leanna Lenee.
“Winner winner chicken dinner,” Lenee wrote via Instagram in December 2024, sharing pics from Hunter’s ceremony.
She added in a follow-up post, “They mad, make them madder!!!”
The Heisman is awarded annually to the highest player in college football. In 2024, Hunter was nominated alongside Ashton Jeanty, Cam Ward and Dillion Gabriel. Hunter had been honored as wide receiver and cornerback for the Colorado Buffaloes.
He even gave Lenee a sweet shout-out in his acceptance speech.
“I also wish to thank my fiancée and my mother. They’ve been with me because the first time I had surgery my first 12 months of faculty,” he gushed on the time. “They never took a step away from all of the hard hours, all of the hard days, and all of the times I didn’t wish to get up and even watch my phone [or] have a look at football. Y’all stayed with me. I’m very thankful for y’all.”

Hunter slid into Lenee’s social media DMs months before she even opened the message.
“Travis sat in my DMs for 2 months because he DM’d me when he had a girlfriend,” she said in a TikTok video two years later. “I immediately knew he had a partner [from his Instagram bio]. So, I exited the message and he sat there until he was single. I don’t do homewrecking. I’m not a side piece. I don’t stand for any of those things. I support women. I’d never try this to a different woman because I’d never want it done to me.”
After they finally connected, Hunter and Lenee went Instagram official in March, sharing PDA pics from their Hawaiian vacation.
“I need this 4ever, ain’t no probably❤️,” she gushed in her caption.

Lenee paid tribute to Hunter with a lengthy tribute for his or her first anniversary.
“You got here into my life at probably the most unexpected time. I’d always pray that God would give me a reason to maintain moving forward so I can fulfill his plan for me,” she gushed via Instagram. “That he would give me motivation to proceed, and also you were his answer. You bring nothing but solidarity and peace into my life. You’ve showed me tips on how to properly be loved, and even tips on how to properly love, because God knows I tainted the definition.”
She added, “You’re probably the most patient and passionate man I even have ever met. No relationship is ideal, but we perfected the art of trying. We live in our third state together now, and it is a life I wouldn’t wish to share with anyone else. You’re the best friend and partner I even have ever had. I really like you, sincerely and without limit.”

Hunter proposed just ahead of Valentine’s Day.
“1,000,000 times, yes 💍,” Lenee wrote via Instagram on February 4.
After getting engaged, Lenee continued to be a staple at Hunter’s football games while wearing custom merch.

Lenee was by Hunter’s side when he won the Heisman Trophy, a prestigious honor in college football.
“Showtime,” she captioned a TikTok video of their outfits.
Hunter sported a crisp blue suit, while Lenee opted for a strapless, mirrored gown.
The ceremony sparked online criticism when social media users speculated that Lenee appeared agitated when Hunter won the trophy. The athlete later debunked the claims, noting in a Twitch livestream that Lenee cried herself to sleep over the backlash.
Lenee also denied being upset.
“Persons are saying that I’m like, ‘What am I alleged to do, just sit here?’” Lenee said in a TikTok video. “That’s not what I said, to begin with. I said, ‘Baby, do you would like me to take a seat here or do you would like me to go together with the family or do you would like me to return with you?’ Because what y’all don’t know off of a seven-second clip is those weren’t fans, by the way in which.”
She added, “He had finished meeting with the fans. I used to be there your complete time taking pictures, talking to them, all the things. The ladies that were there, they work for Adidas. So we were taking pictures for a social post. That’s who those people were. I wasn’t annoyed with no fans. In any respect. I’m never annoyed with fans.”
Lenee further stressed that she supports Hunter in “all the things he does.”
“I really, truly love that man,” she gushed. “He is ideal in my eyes.”

4 months after taking home the Heisman, Lenee was by Hunter’s side for the 2025 NFL draft. The couple walked the red carpet together alongside Hunter’s mother.
