Bryan Danielson Is Open To One other Match, Toni Storm Calls Herself The Best

Bryan Danielson wrestled his final match at AEW WrestleDream 2024, where he lost the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley.

Within the months leading as much as his retirement, Danielson battled through a serious neck injury. At AEW All In 2024, he put his profession on the road against Swerve Strickland, winning the AEW World Title and increasing his in-ring profession by just a few more months before ultimately falling to Moxley.

Speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Danielson reflected on the top of his profession. He said,

“I actually have no inclination straight away, and no desire to wrestle. Looking back, I actually see it as a blessing,” he said. “The six months leading as much as my last match were incredibly difficult, and my neck was in terrible shape. There have been things I physically couldn’t do anymore. By the point my final match against Moxley got here around, I used to be ready. That’s a superb place to be. After I was forced to retire the primary time in WWE back in 2016, I didn’t need to. I kept fighting, each internally and outwardly, to return. Now, I’m at peace with it. And truthfully, if I hadn’t been hurting so badly those last six months, I don’t know if I’d feel this manner.”

When asked a few possible appearance at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in London, Danielson responded with the next,

“I’d say there’s a 95% likelihood I won’t be there. But when, say, there’s an enormous important event and someone gets hurt, and Tony [Khan] says, ‘Hey Bryan, we want you for this,’ then yeah, there’s something I could do. I just must watch out. It’s one in every of those situations where you possibly can work around it, but you possibly can’t do it on a regular basis.”

Toni Storm has made it clear that she believes she’s a far superior champion in comparison with Mercedes Mone.

In AEW’s women’s division, Mercedes currently holds the TBS Championship, while Storm reigns because the AEW Women’s World Champion. Mone can be slated to compete within the Owen Hart Cup finals, where a victory would earn her a shot at Storm’s title at AEW All In 2025.

During a recent interview with “MuscleManMalcolm,” Storm was asked who she thought was the higher champion between herself and Mone. She said,

“Obviously, I’m a greater champion — not only in comparison with Mercedes, but in comparison with any champion. That shouldn’t even be an issue. You already know the reply to that.”
