Sami Zayn was presented with an “offer” from Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw of what was effectively the usual “you’re with me, otherwise you’re against me” trope. Zayn either needed to get in line and support The Visionary as the person who would lead this business into the long run alongside Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman, or, as a courtesy to him as his close personal friend, Zayn can be traded over to SmackDown so he can be out of the best way.
True to himself, Zayn rejected the offer, calling out the hypocrisy that Rollins is manipulative, resulting in The Unpredictable Badass being sicced on him just like the attack dog role he’s clearly filling on this recent faction. Breakker defeated Zayn within the fundamental event by referee stoppage after a series of spears, and Rollins finished things with a stomp.

Where this leads into the long run is clearly unknown, but we do know 2 things announced to happen on next week’s episode of Raw.
Rusev, who had said that he’s on a mission to go after the individuals who have lost themselves and “fix them”, will face Otis of Alpha Academy after attacking them last week.
Penta shall be in motion against JD McDonagh, partially resulting from his actions tonight where he interfered in The Judgment Day’s tag team match against The War Raiders, pushing McDonagh off the ropes and costing them the bout.
After all, with next Monday night being the go-home episode of Raw prior to Backlash already, we will expect to see more of a construct to a few of those matches that were announced tonight, akin to Pat McAfee vs. Gunther and Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
