Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has stepped as much as the mic with an apology to Shedeur Sanders and his family. After his 21-year-old son, Jax Ulbrich, pulled a prank call through the 2025 NFL Draft, Jeff is taking full accountability while speaking about how well the Sanders family has handled the drama.
Jeff Ulbrich Apologizes To Shedeur And His Family
On Wednesday, April 30, Ulbrich stood at a press conference in Georgia to share some words amid the controversy. While chatting with reporters, he stated, “I publicly apologize to Shedeur and the Sanders family for what happened.” Ulbrich also expressed regret to Falcons owner Arthur Blank, Terry Fontenot, and head coach Raheem Morris for involving them within the mess.
“My actions by not protecting confidential data were inexcusable,” he said. “My son’s actions were absolutely inexcusable and for that we’re each deeply sorry.”
Moreover, Ulbrich went on to briefly discuss the NFL’s strict motion against him for failing to guard confidential league details, which he claims he fully complies with. He declared that he and his son will prove they’re “higher than this.” Then, in a separate clip taken on the conference, Ulbrich also made sure to praise the Sanders family for being “amazingly gracious… greater than they needed to be” when he apologized to Deion and Shedeur in person.

The Falcons And Jax Ulbrich Received A HUGE Positive Over The Prank Call
The NFL wasn’t playing when it got here to this breach of confidentiality, y’all. On Wednesday, April 30, the league issued the Atlanta Falcons with a $250,000 superb and Jeff Ulbrich with a $100,000 superb for “failing to stop the disclosure of confidential information.” The Falcons accepted the punishment and promised to tighten up their security protocols moving forward. Moreover, the Ulbrich family is teaming up with the organization for community service initiatives to make amends, per Yahoo. Meanwhile, the Ulbrich controversy has since sparked the NFL to research OTHER prank calls it received through the draft, resulting in a full-scale ongoing investigation. Up to now, nonetheless, there was no word on whether the league has identified another prank callers yet.
