Walton Goggins abruptly ended an interview after he was repeatedly asked about those rumors regarding an alleged feud together with his White Lotus costar Aimee Lou Wood.
Goggins, 53, was profiled for The London Times but in response to the paper’s author Ed Potton, the conversation took a turn once he mentioned that the actor isn’t any longer following Wood, 31, on Instagram.
“I’m not gonna have that conversation,” Goggins replied within the interview published on Thursday, May 1.
Potton wrote in his piece that Goggins’ American publicist interrupted the interview to say, “We’re not going there, thanks.” Goggins’ British rep also allegedly jumped in to ask they move on to the “next query.”
The journalist pivoted to debate Goggins’ upcoming movie The Uninvited, but the subject subsequently turned back around to Wood later. When Goggins was asked about reports that he would make a public appearance with Wood again soon, his British rep stepped on this time to request they continue to be on the subject of The Uninvited.
In response to Potton, Goggins allegedly called out the reporter’s “thinly veiled” attempts to debate unsubstantiated rumors a few feud between him and Wood. The actor also allegedly said Potton didn’t seem “interested” in asking in regards to the film Goggins was promoting.
“There is no such thing as a conversation available about that,” Goggins fired back when Wood was mentioned again. “Sharing politics on social media — it’s in a vacuum.”
Potton tried another time to broach the tense topic, to which Goggins replied, “What the f***, Ed! Come on, buddy. Wow.” The reporter noted in his article that Goggins’ U.S. rep immediately cut the conversation short after an “off the rails” interview.
Goggins and Wood originally formed a friendship while playing love interests in season 3 of HBO’s hit series The White Lotus. After their costar Jason Isaacs hinted at tension on set, eagle-eyed followers noticed that Goggins and Wood were not following one another on social media.
Goggins and Wood haven’t addressed the feud rumors — and have continued to talk fondly of one another during interviews — however the speculation about who was at odds on set was so bad that Isaacs, 61, needed to make clear what he meant.

“I told the reality, while we were there, it’s an entire community. It was a city and it wasn’t just the actors. People need to recollect it was the actors and the crew and the administrators and all these people were in a little bit pressure cooker together. And like anywhere you go for the summer, there’s friendships, there’s romances, there’s arguments, there’s cliques that form and break and reform and stuff like that,” he shared on SiriusXM’s TODAY Show Radio series The Completely happy Hour in April. “I’m not silly. I take a look at the web. I only read each word written about The White Lotus and about everybody in it.”
Isaacs specifically slammed the net theories from fans.
“All these amateur Sherlock Holmes on the market, they’re extrapolating, ‘Well, one person posted this.’ And no person has the slightest clue what they’re talking about. Individuals who think they’re onto something, after which it gets magnified due to a thousand other people. No person has any clue what I’m talking about,” he continued. “I’m talking about people you’ve never met before half the time, in numerous departments and the people within the hair and costume and within the accounts department and stuff.”
Isaacs concluded: “Initially, it’s none of your small business. I’m just saying it wasn’t a vacation. Partly I began saying that’s because people think we were on a seven-month holiday and imagine me, it felt like work numerous the time. It was insanely hot and there’s all the traditional social tensions you get anywhere, but for all of you considering you’ve cracked it by something you think that someone has posted or is in a photograph or not, you’re just to date from the reality, imagine me.”
