The four-time league MVP spoke to the media for the primary time as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Aaron Rodgers dove into why he decided to sign with the storied franchise and even revealed some major personal news after minicamp practice on Tuesday afternoon.
“A giant attraction was Mike Tomlin,” Rodgers told reporters.
“I’ve gone against him through the years. The way in which that the conversations went between him and I, at any time when it was in March or April and the last Sunday once I called him was a number of the coolest conversations I had in the sport.
“So, he’s a giant reason of why I’m here and I’m excited to play for him.”
Tomlin also spoke to the media and shared the same tone towards his latest quarterback.
“Read his resume,” Tomlin said.
“We’re enthusiastic about him being here. He’s enthusiastic about being here.
“But we’ll make no daring predictions. We’ll roll our sleeves up and go to work, and let our efforts do the talking.”
During Rodgers’ media availability, the 41-year-old QB was asked why he didn’t just retire.
He was asked why he even desired to keep playing football altogether, especially after two rough seasons with the Recent York Jets, that included an Achilles tear.
“I do not need it. For my ego, I do not need it to maintain playing,” Rodgers said.

“Lots of decisions that I’ve remodeled my profession and life from strictly the ego — even in the event that they prove well — are all the time unfulfilling.
“But the selections produced from the soul are frequently pretty fulfilling. So this was a choice that was best for my soul.
“I felt like being here with Coach T. and the fellows they came and the chance here was best for me. I’m excited to be here.”
There was speculation as as to if or not Rodgers would even play in 2025, and what was taking him so long to sign with the Steelers after it had appeared like a foregone conclusion.
The longer term Hall of Fame quarterback revealed that he was ‘coping with loads in’ his personal life and now feels he ‘might be fully all-in with the fellows.’
Not only that, he also shared that he got married a few months ago.

A reporter noticed a hoop on his finger and asked what it was.
“Yeah, it’s a marriage ring,” Rodgers answered.
He was congratulated after which was asked how way back it was that he got married.
“It has been a pair months,” Rodgers said with a sly smile.
It looks as if Rodgers is finally set on giving it his all with the Steelers, and goes all in.
Tomlin, together with your entire city of Pittsburgh, higher hope so.
If not, it could possibly be one other long season.
