Christian Slater’s family showed their full support at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, adorably posing for photos in the course of the rare appearance together with his two daughters as he earned the momentous honor.
On Monday, June 9, Slater, 55, was joined by his wife, Brittany Lopez, and his two daughters. He shares Eliana, 23, with ex-wife Ryan Haddon and Lena, 5, with Lopez. Photos from the ceremony showed the actor kneeling down in front of his star with Lena in his arms, smiling on the camera as Eliana stood behind him together with his wife, looking like one big blissful family.
In his speech, Slater sweetly gave a shout-out to his kids, saying, “I actually have amazing and wonderful children [and] I can’t imagine my life without them. They’re the best.”
Slater’s two sons — Jaden, 25, whom he shares with Haddon and a baby boy born in 2024 with Lopez — weren’t in attendance.
Along with gushing over his kids in his speech, Slater also made a touching comment about his marriage, calling his wife his “best friend.”
“Having a star on Hollywood Boulevard is great, but none of this is able to have been possible without my family and the love I actually have today,” he said about his spouse, whom he wed in December 2013 at a Miami courthouse.
“I feel very blessed and really grateful and really lucky,” Slater added of the consideration.
Those in attendance on the ceremony included Sarah Michelle Gellar, who gave a heartwarming speech about her Dexter: Original Sin costar.
“Most actors can only dream of getting a profession so long as yours, Christian, and essentially the most amazing a part of it’s that you just proceed to redefine how we see you,” Michelle Gellar, 48, said while standing at the rostrum. “You’re an actor with multiple legacies who will feel like just as fresh of a discovery to teenagers watching you for the primary time 20 years from now as you probably did once I first saw you.”

Nearly a yr before earning his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Slater opened up about parenting in his 50s together with his younger children vs. when he became a parent the primary time around together with his older children.
“Wow. I mean, it’s just different,” he told People in August 2024. “The entire thing is different. I’m definitely rather a lot more present and I just like it.”
“I feel I used to be more terrified of it the primary go around and somewhat bit more confused, and I used to be very distracted,” Slater added. “And now, it’s all I actually take into consideration, and all I actually care about, and all I need to be around. I’m blissful to be in that situation.”
Slater also opened up about Lena’s energetic personality and a few of her hobbies.
“She’s just cute. My daughter’s 5 and she or he’s an actual passionate, excited person,” he said. “I mean, she skateboards, she ice skates, she climbs rock partitions, she does aerobics, she plays tennis and she or he’s 5. We will’t stop her.”
Slater added, “She just has an actual zest and keenness for all times that’s very infectious and makes me very excited.”
