Beyoncé’s Team Breaks Silence On The Dangerous Automotive Stunt Incident

Beyoncé had a terrifying moment during her concert in Houston, Texas, on Saturday night, when a technical mishap put her in a precarious situation, and now her team is speaking out.

While performing her hit “16 Carriages,” the red convertible that carries the superstar above the gang during her show began to tilt dangerously. The prop, which is used to present Beyoncé a more in-depth view of her fans because it hovers above them, threatened to throw the “Cowboy Carter” artist off the automobile and into the audience.

Nonetheless, just like the true skilled she is, Beyoncé remained calm and composed because the automobile tilted, and he or she returned to the principal stage to complete the performance without skipping a beat.

After the show, Beyoncé’s team, Parkwood Entertainment, released an announcement to deal with the incident. They confirmed that the mishap was on account of a technical malfunction with the flying automobile.

Despite the frightening situation, Beyoncé appeared unfazed while within the automobile.

“I wanna thank y’all,” Beyoncé told the audience, expressing her gratitude for his or her support. “If ever I fall, I do know y’all will catch me,” she added, showing her unshakable confidence.

Social media users quickly shared footage of the incident, with reports from the Houston Chronicle noting that her automobile had stopped moving mid-air before the malfunction occurred.

While many initially assumed the shirt was a nod to an often-overlooked piece of Black history, critics quickly identified the troubling implications tied to the Buffalo Soldiers’ legacy.

Within the late 1800s, the Buffalo Soldiers were deployed to fight against Native Americans in the course of the Indian Wars, siding with European colonizers in the course of the westward expansion of america. Their involvement in these violent and controversial conflicts raised serious concerns over the appropriateness of such a picture getting used for fashion.

What caused much more outrage was the text featured on the back of Beyoncé’s shirt, which included a passage referring to Native Americans and others as enemies of “peace, order, and settlement.” The complete excerpt, shared by fans online, read:

“Their antagonists were the enemies of peace, order and settlement: warring Indians, bandits, cattle thieves, murderous gunmen, bootleggers, trespassers, and Mexican revolutionaries.”
