Elliot Page is getting into a brand new chapter of his life, unveiling his first public relationship since coming out as a transgender man in December 2020.
The 38-year-old “Umbrella Academy” star has confirmed that he’s romantically involved with actress Julia Shiplett, known for her role within the Amazon Prime sitcom “Overcompensating.”
In celebration of Pride Month, Elliot took to Instagram to share a sweet moment with Julia, posting a photograph of the couple cuddling on a rainbow-painted street.
The image made it clear that the pair were completely happy together, with Elliot Page including a rainbow and double-heart emoji within the caption.

In a recent interview on “The View,” Elliot used his platform to encourage people to coach themselves about anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-trans politics.
“The way in which I get to feel working now could be way more embodied,” Elliot shared, reflecting on his profession and his experience transitioning while discussing his roles in “The Umbrella Academy” and “Near You.”
“Doing something like this, complete improv, before, would’ve been near unattainable,” he noted, highlighting how far he’s come since coming out and the way much his work has grown from a spot of authenticity.

The fourth and final season of “The Umbrella Academy” encompasses a groundbreaking LGBTQ+ storyline, including Elliot’s character transitioning, a representation that has been praised for bringing much-needed visibility to the trans community.
In “As for Near You,” Elliot plays a trans man named Sam, returning home for a family reunion after five years, where he reconnects with an past love. For Elliot, this role was “liberating,” and he sees it as a turning point in his profession.
And when “host Ana Navarro asked, “What advice do you will have for anybody who desires to be an ally to the community?” Elliot’s response was clear.
