It seems an unfathomable drought given the 38-year-old is essentially the most successful male within the Open Era having won a record 24 Grand Slams.

The wait may proceed given British tennis star Liam Broady picked up on a worrying sign during Djokovic’s run to the semi-finals of this 12 months’s French Open.

But when there was ever a time for Djokovic to snap out of his Grand Slam stasis, it’s on the All England Club where he has reached the ultimate in yearly at Wimbledon since 2018.

When asked about Djokovic’s hopes in SW19, Broady said on talkSPORT’s Weekend Sports Breakfast: “It’s a tricky one because for the last two years, I’ve at all times been saying you’ll be able to’t bet against the GOAT (best of all time), and he is not won one yet.

“But that is the thing, Djokovic has won essentially the most slams within the history of men’s tennis so I won’t ever bet against him.

“If he finds himself in a final or a semi-final, you realize he’ll be on the market and he’ll be difficult to beat.

“I feel possibly this 12 months for the primary time on the French Open, his movement didn’t quite look perhaps as it has been up to now.

“That is been one in every of his best weapons. I feel he’ll start to search out it pretty difficult.

“But as you say, Wimbledon’s probably his best likelihood now and I feel he’ll concentrate on that.”

Although Djokovic’s presence will undoubtedly loom large at Wimbledon, there’s one other man who British No. 5 Broady believes is the favourite to reign supreme.

“I feel at Wimbledon, Carlos [Alcaraz] is the person to stop,” Broady remarked.

“Jannik [Sinner] on the hard courts looks like he’ll be the person to beat on the Australian Open and the US Open.

“I used to be surprised how close he got and the way well he was playing on the clay at Roland Garros.

“I feel at Wimbledon, Jannik doesn’t move quite as well on the grass. The ball stays a bit lower so it’s harder for the taller, larger hitters to play on the courts.

“Carlos has a lot variety to his game. He’s just a little bit [Roger] Federer-esque at times. He’s a shot-maker and I feel the grass suits him rather well.”

Alcaraz goes into this 12 months’s Wimbledon because the defending champ having breezed past Djokovic in straights sets in last 12 months’s final.

Victory on the All England Club would also mark a shocking three-peat for Alcaraz given he won his maiden Wimbledon title in 2023.

Should that transpire, Alcaraz would join an exclusive four-man club who’ve won three or more consecutive Wimbledon titles within the Open Era.

Djokovic, Federer, Pete Sampras and Bjorn Borg are the quartet who’ve achieved the feat, with Djokovic essentially the most recent to accomplish that.

One individual who could also be in attendance to witness Alcaraz’s glory is British women’s primary Emma Raducanu.

Raducanu, who’s a detailed friend of Alcaraz, was available to look at the Spaniard take out the title at Queen’s in West Kensington.

She was also snapped walking side-by-side with the five-time Grand Slam champion through the confines of Wimbledon on Friday.

But it surely was quickly revealed the pair were involved in an activation for water brand Evian, who Raducanu and Alcaraz are each brand ambassadors of.

Alcaraz will begin his title defence on Monday with a primary round encounter against Italy’s Fabio Fognini.
