Jamison Coyle: “Elliotte, we at all times speak about setting the market. What the market goes to be like. Now that we see a few of these numbers within the AAV are available, what do you’re thinking that a man, perhaps the most important fish now still on the market, Nikolaj Ehlers. What do you’re thinking that his number is available in at?
Friedman: “I feel, the thing I’ve heard about Ehlers is that he might take just a little bit less for a winning situation. Like I feel he could do nine, nine and a half on the open market. Absolute confidence about it. All things being equal. And we’ll see where he finally ends up.
But one in every of the things I’ve type of been hearing, Jamison is that he might shave that a bit to go to a team that has a likelihood to win.
I do know, like with Marner, Vegas was my team until I used to be proven mistaken. And it’s like, infrequently, you realize, Chipmunk finds acorn. Like I discovered this. I got that one right.
My team with Ehlers until I’m proven mistaken is, is Carolina. And so we’ll see what happens tomorrow. But I could see Ehlers taking just a little bit less with the Hurricanes, and he could do elsewhere, because he thinks he just has a greater likelihood to win there.”
