Chris Brown’s Legal Battle Over 2023 London Club Fight Takes A Turn

Per Billboard, Amadoua “Abe” Diaw filed a request on Friday, June 27, to dismiss his case against Chris Brown with prejudice, which implies he can’t refile the case in court. Nonetheless, Rolling Stone reported that neither side has confirmed a settlement.

Diaw accused Chris of attacking him in February 2023, which led to his hospitalization and a $16 million lawsuit. Within the suit, Diaw claimed the attack left him with deep cuts on his head and torn ligaments in his legs. TMZ also notes that despite the fact that Diaw has dropped the lawsuit, Chris still faces criminal charges of assault and possession of a weapon. For now, officials haven’t said if the dropped lawsuit will impact the criminal case.
