Tyson Fury claims to verify Oleksandr Usyk trilogy date and venue just hours after denying ring return

Tyson Fury is claiming that he has a date and venue for his trilogy fight with Oleksandr Usyk – despite also insisting he’s retired from fighting.

The legendary two-time boxing world heavyweight champion famously won every belt there’s to win throughout his profession. But he was never undisputed after losing his two efforts to unify the division against Usyk in 2024.

Now, he claims that he’ll face the Ukrainian over again – this time on home soil after claiming to have been robbed in Saudi Arabia last day out. His mind seems to have modified dramatically inside hours of an interview he gave on the IBA Pro Show in Turkey, claiming he was fully done with the game.

Tyson Fury confirms April date for Oleksandr Usyk trilogy

Tyson Fury has taken to social media this morning to assert that he’ll fight Oleksandr Usyk next yr, presumably within the case that the present unified champion defeats Daniel Dubois this month. He has said that the one fight he would come back for could be the trilogy, and it now seems it is going on.

Last night, Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh announced that Fury could be making a boxing return, alluding to pursuit of a ‘rabbit’ in Usyk. And the previous fighter has now posted a date, venue and even where to search for tickets in an Instagram post.

“April 18 2026 Wembley Stadium,” Fury wrote. “The trilogy! UK. Contact @spencerbrownmrgoldstar for tickets.” He has also shared a photograph with Alalshikh to his story with the caption “Let’s see what 2026 brings,” alongside a series of dollar signs.

He also shared an overhead shot of an opulent mansion with the caption: “Massive because of my bro Turki for my recent house”.

Tyson Fury claimed yesterday that he was retired from boxing

The news comes as an enormous shock to fight fans who just yesterday may have watched multiple media scrums and interviews Fury gave where he insisted that he was retired. He hung up his gloves for the umpteenth time after the second fight with Usyk.

“What would I be coming back for?” He asked reporters who questioned if he would ever eye a return just hours before his Instagram post. “I’ve won every belt, haven’t I? So there’s not much to come back back for.

“Does the love of the game overthrow my health? There you go then… You’ve got to fret about your health, your health is your wealth… It’s inevitable [that I’ll have issues later in life] with the fights I’ve had.”
