On the last Sony State of Play, the corporate confirmed that a deep dive into Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Yōtei would arrive in July. We now know the Ghost of Yōtei State of Play will happen on July 10 at 2:00 PM Pacific (5:00 PM Eastern) and can feature nearly 20 minutes of gameplay hosted by Sucker Punch’s creative directors Jason Connell and Nate Fox. Together with sharing more details on Atsu’s quest, the team will exhibit recent weapons, recent ways to personalize the gameplay experience, special modes, and more.
Originally announced in September 2024, Ghost of Yōtei isn’t exactly a direct sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. Happening greater than 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei incorporates a recent protagonist, Atsu, and is ready in the guts of Ezo, now referred to as Hokkaido. It’s Sucker Punch’s first game built from the bottom up for PlayStation 5, and we’re expecting some breathtaking scenery considering how mesmerizing some areas of Ghost of Tsushima looked.
Ghost of Yōtei is ready to launch on October 2, 2025, for PlayStation 5, and we’re sure it’ll eventually head to PC identical to Ghost of Tsushima.
