The Ukrainian capital has been battered overnight by major Russian missile and drone strikes lasting 10 hours.
Two women, a 68-year-old and a 22-year-old police corporal, were killed during Putin’s latest onslaught against Ukraine.
The Kremlin doesn’t look like letting up after unleashing its heaviest bombardment of Ukraine within the war thus far on Tuesday night, sending greater than 700 drones and missiles at several targets.
It comes days after Donald Trump said he would send more weapons to Ukraine while Vladimir Putin continues to reject ceasefire talks.
Despite previously claiming he could end the Russia-Ukraine war inside 24 hours, the US president has complained of Putin’s ‘bulls***’ during previous ceasefire talks.
Leaked audio from 2024 of Trump boasting he would ‘bomb the s*** out of Moscow’ if Putin invaded Ukraine was released yesterday, potentially souring relations between the US and Russian leaders.
Kyiv has been left shrouded in toxic smoke this morning after the relentless drone strikes destroyed buildings, ripped up roads and damaged homes, setting several fires across town.
Residents have been ordered to shut their windows and avoid going outside while firefighters attempt to tackle the fires raging in multiple districts.
Tymur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s military administration, warned locals: ‘Property will be restored, but human life cannot.
‘Unfortunately, we’ve two dead. These people were killed by the Russians. This can be a terrible loss. My condolences to the family and friends.
‘Residential buildings, vehicles, warehouse facilities, office and non-residential buildings are on fire.’
Karyna Holf, 23, was within the front room near the window when she heard a whistling sound from the incoming weapon. Moment later, her home was turned to clutter.
She said: ‘After such a shock, when you realize from your personal experience what it’s wish to lose every little thing, I don’t even know what comes next.
‘All I actually have now’s a backpack, a phone, a winter coat – that’s it. That is my whole life now.’
Ms Holf said she was grateful she had her parents to show to, but added ‘there are individuals who have no-one in any respect’.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky described this week’s onslaught of missile strikes as an ‘obvious build-up of terror by Russia’.
He also said that in addition to Kyiv, the regions of Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad and Kharkiv had also been hit by Russian drones overnight.
Mr Zelensky added: ‘A whole bunch of drones every night, constant strikes, massive attacks against Ukrainian cities. Because of this acceleration is required.
‘We have to be faster with sanctions and put pressure on Russia in order that they feel the results of their terror.
‘Partners have to be faster with investments in weapons production and technology development.’
