Dana White responds to fan criticism after attempting to shine a lightweight on UFC Nashville card

Dana White has attempted to construct some last minute hype for the UFC Nashville card on Saturday.

This Saturday, the premier promotion returns to Tennessee for UFC Nashville, headlined by heavyweight contenders Derrick Lewis and Tallison Teixeira.

Ahead of his fight, Lewis caused concern amongst fans that he may miss weight after he admitted he’d been eating enough calories for a family of 4.

Despite that, when he weighed-in this past Friday, ‘The Black Beast’ got here in at his lowest weight in 11 years as he showed a glimmer of abs whilst posing on the dimensions.

With it just being a Fight Night card, fans aren’t completely satisfied with the indisputable fact that it isn’t entirely stacked from top to bottom.

Within the co-main event, probably the most exciting strikers in UFC history returns to the Octagon as Stephen Thompson clashes against Gabriel Bonfim.

“A few fights you may not learn about. After his stint within the heavyweight division, knockout artist Junior Tafa makes his UFC debut in the sunshine heavyweight division. Junior looks like he’s in great shape, let’s see if he can keep that power, all six of his wins have come by KO,” White said.

“Junior faces Tuco Tokkos, he’s an athlete very conversant in knocking people out, eight of his 10 wins have come by finishes with six by knockout, I’m looking forward to a really violent and fun fight,” he continued.

“Calvin Kattar vs Steve Garcia. Kattar has been fighting only the very best competition for years, he’s high volume, all hands… Garcia has been on an absolute tear which got him a shot at a top 15 guy… We’ll see if he has a number by his name after this fight,” White highlighted.

Although that is something the UFC boss does for each fight card, one fan wasn’t entirely sold by White’s spiel, saying: “Seriously Dana attempting to sell a Fight Night… (Dead).”

As an alternative of biting his tongue, White replied: “Not selling you anything. Letting you KNOW what you didn’t KNOW.”

Fans remain hopeful that despite the cardboard not being the strongest on paper, it could involve some blockbuster finishes to establish for an incredible UFC 318 on July 19.
