Internal Response To WWE Evolution 2 – News On AJ Lee & Paige’s Absence

Pwinsider is reporting that there was a robust sense of pride and excitement backstage following WWE Evolution 2025, which took place on Sunday night on the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA.

Sources inside each the locker room and WWE management described the corporate as “thrilled” with how the all-women’s pay-per-view event unfolded. One major moment that stood out was Naomi’s successful Money within the Bank cash-in throughout the Rhea Ripley vs. IYO SKY foremost event, where she captured the WWE Women’s World Championship. Naomi, a longtime locker room leader, is alleged to be widely respected and popular with her peers.

Within the aftermath of the event, there’s been significant internal support for Evolution to grow to be a recurring fixture. While there’s growing momentum from talent and others inside WWE, no future event has been confirmed. One source described the mood as, “They’ll need to do one other one after this,” though emphasized that no plans are set in stone. Paul “Triple H” Levesque downplayed the concept of Evolution becoming an annual tradition throughout the post-show press conference, suggesting that despite the success, a return in 2026 is just not guaranteed.

As for a number of the rumored appearances – Saraya (formerly Paige in WWE) was never scheduled for the show. She was in Hawaii over the weekend. Despite speculation that AJ Lee might make a surprise return — fueled partly by WWE uploading latest AJ Lee-related content to its YouTube channel — there was no hidden message behind the uploads. Lee has remained retired from in-ring competition since 2015.
