A body has been present in the Italian Alps within the seek for missing British hiker Matthew Hall.
The 33-year-old, from Hull, disappeared last Wednesday while walking within the Lombardy region of northern Italy.
The invention of a body was made yesterday evening near the Cross of Daloo, a mountain viewpoint high above the town of Chiavenna, where Matthew had been staying.
His family have been informed.
Italian authorities said the body was present in a crevice in the identical area where he had sent his last text telling a friend he had taken a unsuitable turn and was having a rest.
A helicopter was brought in to help with the recovery due to danger involved in reaching the body.
Friends, family and colleagues had travelled to the world in seek for him while specialist drones were also launched.

Owners on the B&B Ploncher where Matthew was staying at noticed he didn’t have his breakfast in the times after his arrival in Italy but they assumed he left early for hikes.
When he didn’t take a look at on July 11 concern was then raised.
On July 12, B&B staff entered his room and located his personal belongings and documents inside but not his backpack.
A search was then launched by the authorities on July 13 which involved the Alpine Rescue team, the Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza.
An FCDO spokesperson told Metro: ‘We’re supporting the family of a British man who has died in Italy and are in touch with the local authorities.’
