Emile Heskey has urged Liverpool to sign considered one of Arsenal’s transfer targets in the event that they resolve to money in on Luis Diaz this summer.
The Colombian has been the topic of interest from Barcelona and Bayern Munich this summer after lifting the Premier League title with Liverpool last season.
The English club rebuffed an approach from Barca earlier in the summertime and in recent days have turned down a £58.6million bid from Bayern.
Liverpool are said to be in no hurry to sell Diaz this summer, who they value at €100m (£86.8m), however the 28-year-old winger is claimed to be keen for a brand new challenge.
With two years still to run on his contract, this summer could prove the best time to money in on Diaz, and former Reds striker Heskey believes a move could well be in Liverpool’s interest.

‘If Bayern Munich step up and are paying the suitable price, then I feel it must be considered,’ he told BestBettingSites.co.uk. ‘Everyone is on the market if the value is correct.
‘I feel it could be decent business if they may get a superb offer in and move him on, but then the subsequent thing to think about is who to get him in.’

Liverpool have already spent heavily this summer, but can be expected to dip back into the marketplace for a alternative to Diaz should the Colombian leave.
And Heskey reckons the Merseyside club should consider a move for Anthony Gordon to supply an analogous pace and dynamism to Diaz down the left flank.
‘One player I like is Anthony Gordon at Newcastle, he’d be a fantastic option,’ Heskey added.

‘He’d provide you with someone direct, who still understands easy methods to take players on and beat them.
‘He’s a winger who gives you width and gets to the byline, who can entertain.
‘We’ve lost that a bit and Anthony is a little bit of a throwback to earlier times, but his dribbling and direct attacking gets fans off their seats.’
Liverpool attempted to sign Gordon from Newcastle last summer but were unable to succeed in an agreement.
The England international scored six goals and registered five assists within the Premier League last season and was amongst Arsenal’s list of transfer targets this summer as they appear for greater depth in wide attacking positions.
The Gunners are already closing in on the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea to supply more depth on the flanks.
Mikel Arteta’s side have also been linked with Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, who has also been attracting interest from Liverpool in recent days.
