Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Returns After 17 Years
The return of the show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has sparked excitement online, nevertheless it has also led to comparisons with one other popular series, Anupamaa, which stars Rupali Ganguly. Some people on social media have claimed that Anupamaa may lose its top spot on account of the return of Kyunki.
Producer Ektaa Kapoor responded to this during an interview with Brut. She called the comparisons unfair. “I saw some videos saying Anupamaa has an issue with Kyunki coming back. That was in bad taste,” she said.
Ektaa praised Anupamaa and her team. She said, “Rupali is a giant star. Rajan Shahi and the show have done something nobody else could within the last seven years. They may stay at primary.”
She added that there’s no need to match the shows or their female leads. “Pitting women or content against one another will not be right,” she said.
