England’s homecoming trophy parade will happen today following their dramatic Euro 2025 win over Spain.
Sarina Wiegman’s side defended their title on penalties following a 1-1 draw after overtime.
Mariona Caldentey headed the world champions into the lead in the primary half, before Alessia Russo responded with a header of her own within the second half to bring the Lionesses level.
It was Chloe Kelly, the winning goalscorer from three years ago, who once more clinched the Euros for England together with her winning spot kick within the shootout.
And fans wishing to have a good time England’s momentous achievement in person may have the chance to achieve this in London today, with the FA having now confirmed the schedule for the celebrations.
England’s trophy parade plans
England may have a homecoming celebration with fans at an event in central London today, Tuesday, July 29.
There will probably be an open-top bus procession along The Mall, which is able to start at 12:10pm, before ending with a staged ceremony on the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace.

The ceremony, which is able to start at around 12:30pm, will probably be hosted by former Lioness Alex Scott.
The parade and ceremony will probably be broadcast live by the BBC, ITV and Sky, with coverage getting underway at 12pm.
The FA said in an announcement: ‘The event is free to attend, and people attending will give you the option to look at the Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines Portsmouth and the Central Band of the Royal Air Force welcome home the victorious England team, enjoy live music from DJ CharStape and see tournament highlights shown on big screens, before Sarina Wiegman and the Lionesses take the stage for a special European Championship winners trophy lift presentation.
‘Further details on the homecoming celebration event, including general guidance, timings and travel information, will probably be shared in the end. London goes to be very busy so people should plan their visits rigorously, each coming into central London and travelling home.’
England’s victory on the last Euros was marked with a big fan celebration in Trafalgar Square, a day after the Lionesses beat Germany 2-1.
Around 7,000 were in attendance in central London to assist England have a good time their first-ever major trophy.
No extra bank holiday
Speaking before the sport, the Prime Minister’s spokesperson said there have been ‘no plans’ for an additional bank holiday if England won Euro 2025.
Sir Keir Starmer’s stance was different when he was in opposition back in 2023, when England were last in a showpiece final.
‘It’s almost 60 years since England won the World Cup,’ he wrote on X before the clash with Spain.

England head coach Sarina Wiegman called for further investment in women’s football to make sure the country stays a “trailblazer” as her side celebrated their Euro 2025 success at a “very, very special” reception at 10 Downing Street.
After successfully defending their European crown with a penalty shoot-out victory over Spain within the tournament’s showpiece in Basel on Sunday evening, the England team flew home to attend a reception hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner and sports minister Stephanie Peacock.
The team arrived just before 7pm, with Number 10 decorated for the occasion with St George’s flags draped over windows and bunting along the railings.
As Wiegman rose to talk to those gathered within the Downing Street garden she joked that ‘that is different from standing next to a pitch’.
She added: ‘I even have to make my apologies (for giving) you plenty of heart attacks. You all made it through and we made it through and that’s why we’re here now.
‘The team is just incredible, we won the Euros but making the ultimate, we’re already legendary, what the team has done and the team behind the team.
‘Thanks a lot for having us here. It’s very, very special to be here and to be on this very nice garden with the way in which you set it up with all these pictures, it makes it more special, it’s the primary moment it sinks in just a little bit since it was surreal what happened last night.”

Wiegman, speaking a couple of hours before the Government announced a brand new package of measures to spice up access to grassroots football, used the moment to call for further investment in the sport.
‘This incredible team won the Euros after which straightaway sent a letter to you, the Government, asking for attention and asking for access to football for all girls,” Wiegman said. “Steps have been taken but we’re not done yet, now we have to maintain moving forward and we’d like just a little bit more.
‘I heard we’d like to alter some things about taxes…I feel now we have that confirmation tonight. So let’s move forward.
‘We want some more investment. We’re not there yet. In England we’re up there but England needs to remain the trailblazer, it must be the large example. The players first but additionally the FA, the clubs, the Government, the country, the fans – let’s keep being the trailblazers.’
