Earlier this 12 months at WrestleMania 41, Paul Heyman betrayed each CM Punk and Roman Reigns when he aligned with Seth Rollins within the most important event of night one, as he helped “The Visionary” pickup one in all the biggest victories of his profession. Since then, Punk has tried to get his revenge on Rollins, Heyman and their recent faction, but recently admitted in an interview with “ComicBook Nation,” that working with among the most high profile names in WWE has only made him higher, even when a few of them have betrayed him.
“Well, it isn’t the primary time Paul’s double crossed me, so that you figured I’d learn my lesson by now. But I’m one in all those good guys who has a short-term memory apparently. Listen, all the pieces I’m doing on screen, on television, wrestling clever now, it’s like extra credit. It is a dream come true. I feel like I do not know when the roller coaster ride ends for me … anytime I get to work with Paul, Roman, even Seth, guys like that, they have an inclination to bring the very best out of me, and in turn, I feel like I bring the very best out of them. And it has been a visit. I’m really having fun with all the pieces I’m doing.”
Even though it’s been nearly 4 months since WrestleMania 41, Punk did get some payback on Rollins’ group when he became the primary contender for the World Heavyweight Championship by pinning Bron Breakker in a Gauntlet Match on “WWE Raw.” This upcoming weekend, Punk will challenge GUNTHER for the title, which can be his second opportunity to capture a world championship in two months.
