Chantel Christie is sharing her regrets about how things went down together with her mother, Jackie, on ‘Basketball Wives LA.’ On the show’s season finale, Chantel expressed that the physical altercation and fallout were her “worst nightmare.” Her mother stays silent on the matter, but her sister Takari Lee has previously spoken out. Now, Chantel’s season finale comments have seemingly stirred the pot again!

Chantel Christie Explains Fight With Jackie On ‘Basketball Wives’ Finale

Chantel Christie didn’t draw back from saying her time on ‘Basketball Wives LA’ didn’t pan out how she hoped. Still, she said she’s “100% focused” on nurturing the relationships near her. Within the season finale, Chantel confirmed that she had not spoken to her mother, Jackie Christie, because the Hawaii incident, and “possibly never will.”

“I believe that if there’s one thing that I could say. I take accountability for where I went incorrect,” Chantel Christie said, wiping away tears. “And regardless that this whole situation was my worst nightmare, I wish the most effective for her. It doesn’t make sense, but the fact is in case your mother isn’t Jackie Christie, you won’t ever understand.”

To recap, the mother and daughter were having a tense chat in Jackie’s hotel room. Then, the conversation escalated to name-calling, Jackie booting her daughter from the room, and Chantel began leaving before turning around to say Jackie looks “silly.” She added, “Look the way you look as a mother, Jackie,” which caused her to rise up to usher her daughter to the door. That led to Chantel later pushing her mother against the wall after their arms touched, and Jackie swinging at her, before production stepped in and separated them.

Here’s What Chantel Christie Previously Said

As mentioned, Chantel Christie previously addressed the physical altercation between her and Jackie after the episode featuring it aired. She shared a lengthy statement on Instagram Stories, admitting she’s not happy with all her decisions on the newest season of ‘Basketball Wives.’ Nonetheless, she added that it’s her “real life.” Despite the hate she allegedly received, Chantel said she also received messages from others who could relate to her.

In her previous statement, Chantel also mentioned Jackie’s actions and alleged toxicity, like her comments on the season finale. She called the situation a “masterclass in narcissism” and accused her mother of “lighting the fireplace behind the scenes, then walking away so that you appear to be the arsonist.”  On the time, she claimed that she pushed Jackie off of her for touching her arm.

“It’s unlucky things played out this manner, and I wish it never happened, but when you knew our history, you then’d know this was a protracted time coming.”

Takari Lee Took Jackie Christie’s Side

Takari Lee, sister to Chantel Christie, has reacted at the least thrice to what happened between her relations. Her first written response appeared on Instagram and accused Chantel of not knowing their mom. She wrote that Jackie “didn’t need to be done like this on her platform…that’s all I even have to say about this.” She also filmed a TikTok video seemingly shading the situation.

Then, while speaking on the ‘Make It Make Sense’ podcast, Takari claimed her “stomach hurt” when she first saw the fight on TV. “…and I just desired to reassure my mom,” Lee said.
