Is Trump Going To Pardon Diddy?
Donald Trump is breaking his silence and letting it’s known—Sean “Diddy” Combs probably won’t be getting a presidential pardon anytime soon. In a brand new interview that aired Friday, August 1, on Newsmax, the previous president weighed in on Combs’ legal situation for the primary time because the music mogul was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges but found guilty of transportation to have interaction in prostitution last month.
When host Rob Finnerty asked if he would consider pardoning Diddy, Trump gave considered one of his signature responses:
“Well, he was essentially, I assume, type of half-innocent,” Trump said. “I don’t know what they do, still in jail or something. But he was celebrating a victory, but I assume it wasn’t nearly as good of a victory…”
And, when Trump was asked if his answer was “more likely a no” when it got here to a possible Combs pardon, he replied, “I might say so.“
Trump Speaks on His Current Relationship With Diddy
Within the interview, Trump explained that he was “very friendly” with the Bad Boy Records boss at one point. Nevertheless, Trump appears to have taken offense at Diddy’s previous comments about him, sharing:
“I got together with him great. Gave the look of a pleasant guy. I didn’t know him well. But, once I ran for office, he was very hostile. … It’s hard. We’re human beings. We don’t prefer to have things cloud our judgment, right? But, if you knew someone, and also you were wonderful, and then you definately run for office… he made some terrible statements. So, I don’t know. It’s tougher,” he added. “Makes it more, I’m being honest, makes it tougher to do,” Trump revealed.
The Timeline Is Confused, Concerned, & Kinda Shook
The timeline is shook after Trump’s comments about pardoning Diddy. And folk ran to the Newsmax YouTube comments, sharing their thoughts on the matter. Some even claimed it was a distraction tactic to cover up larger scandals. Others weren’t focused on Diddy in any respect and as a substitute side-eyed Trump’s drained demeanor throughout the interview.
