Hold your horses on Anderson Silva’s comeback fight.
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is certainly one of the best mixed martial artists of all time. Owner of the longest winning streak in UFC history (16) and the second-most title defenses (10), Silva continued to fight into his forties along with his legacy already cemented.
After his UFC exit in 2020, Silva returned to the game of boxing in 2021, picking up wins over former WBC champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Tito Ortiz before he dropped a choice to Jake Paul the next yr.
Since then, the 50-year-old Silva has only fought once—in an exhibition match against former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen last summer, which resulted in a draw.
This week, Silva was reported to box one other former rival of his in Chris Weidman, the fighter who took his middleweight title away in 2013.
Nonetheless, in keeping with Silva’s family, the trilogy fight is probably not happening in any case.
