Caoimhin Kelleher is an early injury doubt for Brentford’s Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest next Sunday.
The Republic of Ireland international joined Brentford in a £18 million deal from Liverpool in June.
Kelleher travelled with the squad for his or her pre-season training camp in Portugal this summer and played in friendlies against Gil Vicente and QPR.
Nonetheless, the 26-year-old missed Brentford’s final pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday, with Hakon Valdimarsson deputising in goal.
Brentford were also without Kevin Schade, who scored 11 goals within the Premier League last season, and Brazilian forward Gustavo Nunes, who was forced off after 10 minutes with a hamstring injury in the course of the friendly against Gil Vicente two weeks ago.

When asked about Nunes’ injury on Friday, Andrews said: ‘Exact time scale, I’m not entirely sure.
‘Actually not within the Kevin [Schade] and Caoihmin [Kelleher] territory of short-term.
‘It would be more significant than that, it’ll be weeks.’
Brentford begin their Premier League campaign away to Nottingham Forest next Sunday.
The Bees will then host Aston Villa of their first home game of the brand new Premier League season on August 23.
