Duncan’s knockout win wasn’t the one stunning highlight from an action-packed night on the Apex.
Son of TUF legend stole the show with slam KO at UFC Vegas 109
UFC bantamweight Elijah Smith, the son of former The Ultimate Fighter standout Gilbert Smith, earned a rare slam knockout through the UFC Vegas 109 prelims. Smith hoisted Toshiomi Kazama over his head with an inside triangle, before slamming Kazama on the back of his head, knocking him out cold.
It was a scary sight on the UFC Apex as Kazama was immediately rushed to a neighborhood hospital following the knockout. It was a knockout that left former two-division champ Henry Cejudo jokingly considering a move out of the bantamweight division.
Joselyn Edwards fulfilled Daniel Cormier’s prediction with a brutal KO of Priscila Cachoeira in a women’s bantamweight bout. Welterweight Uros Medic kept up his remarkable stoppage streak with a knockout of Gilbert Urbina.
