Ring Magazine on X reported the news of the Miller-Hunter fight being finalized for September eleventh. Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs) was initially scheduled to fight Jared Anderson, but he pulled out of the match this week. #6 WBA Miller wanted Deontay Wilder to step in because the substitute, but he turned it down.
Hunter’s Return to Relevance
Hunter (24-1-2, 17 KOs) is ranked #1 WBA, #7 IBF. A variety of fans have forgotten about him because he hasn’t fought a notable heavyweight since his 12-round draw against Alexander Povetkin in 2019.
The 2012 Olympian Hunter has stayed busy since, but his opposition has been strictly lower level. That’s prevented him from being seen on major cards. To stay relevant, fighters have to face notable opponents, and Hunter has failed to do this.
