Israel’s warplanes have again pounded Yemen’s capital of Sanaa amid the Houthis’ military support of Palestinians in Gaza.
As many as 30 strikes were recorded inside quarter-hour, killing at the very least two people.
The variety of those injured within the attacks has reached 35, however the number will likely increase in the approaching hours.
Bombs hit just metres away from the presidential complex, missile bases, and oil and power stations.
Footage circulating on social media shows an explosion ripping through a lot of buildings near the presidential complex, followed by an enormous fireball.
Plumes of black smoke is seen billowing into the sky above Sanaa shortly after the bombardment.
Hussein Mohamed, who lives near the presidential palace, said: ‘The sounds of explosions were very strong.’
Meanwhile, Ahmed al-Mekhlafy said he felt the sheer force of the strikes, adding: ‘The home was rocked, and the windows were shattered.’
The strikes were the primary to hit Yemen since per week ago, when Israel said it targeted energy infrastructure it believed was utilized by the group.
The Israeli military said in a press release on X: ‘The attacks were carried out in response to repeated attacks by the Houthi terrorist regime against the state of Israel and its residents, including the launch of surface-to-surface missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles towards the country’s territory.’
The Iran-backed Houthis have launched missiles and drones toward Israel and targeted ships within the Red Sea for greater than 22 months.
Many of the attacks have been intercepted by Israel’s iron Dome, but Israel has continued to bomb rebel targets in Yemen.

Abdul Qader al-Murtada, a senior Houthi official, said on Sunday they are going to proceed to act in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
He wrote on X: ‘(Israel) must know that we’ll not abandon our brothers in Gaza, regardless of the sacrifices.’
Nasruddin Amer, deputy head of the Houthi media office, claimed the newest airstrikes won’t deter the rebels, and vowed to proceed attacks on Israel.
He said: ‘Our military operations supporting Gaza won’t stop, God willing, unless the aggression is stopped, and the siege is lifted.’
