A person who allegedly posed as a police officer to search out and sexually assault women has been arrested in Spain.
The 33-year-old travelled around town of Valencia on an electrical scooter, selecting his victims – aged between 19 and 28 years – within the early hours of the mornings.
The Spanish newspaper Levante reported that each one the attacks happened in lower than every week, and that he posed as Civil Guard officer.
He threatened that he had all ‘their information’ and that all of them needed to do what he wanted or face ‘legal reprisals’.
The person then told them he needed to do a full-body search. That is when he sexually abused all the ladies, taking advantage that there was nobody on the road.
The incidents happened between August 15 and 18.
His last know victim was a sex employee, who he assaulted in a doorway in Valencia’s Trinitat district.
The person threatedned her with deportation if she spoke out, warning that he ‘knew that she was in Spain illegally, before also telling he that he ‘will kill her’.
He then stole the lady’s underwear and cell phone before fleeing the scene.
Valencia Police finally arrested him this week after victims contacted the force and shared his description.
During a search if his home, officers discovered the non-public belongings of the ladies.
The suspect has since been charged with six counts of sexual assault, in addition to impersonating a police officer and theft.
