Mandeep Singh leaves Tripura after one season ahead of Ranji Trophy, reflecting on his performances and future plans in domestic cricket.

Within the continued exodus of domestic cricketers from their previous season teams, star India allrounder Mandeep Singh has left Tripura ahead of the domestic season, with the Ranji Trophy all set to start on October 15, which shall be the primary tournament when all of the states get into motion.
Mandeep’s decision comes after spending just one season with Tripura, where the team finished seventh amongst eight teams in Group A, only ahead of Meghalaya.
Mandeep played for 14 years for Punjab before moving to Tripura last yr. The previous, too, finished seventh in Group C, just above Bihar.
“Thanks, Tripura CA, for giving me the chance to play last season. I enjoyed my time there. Made some wonderful memories on and off the sector. Wishing the team success for the upcoming season. Looking forward to the Next Chapter 🙌🏽,” Mandeep wrote in an Instagram post.
Mandeep featured in six Ranji Trophy games, six Vijay Hazare matches and 7 Syed Mushtaq Ali outings for Tripura within the 2024-25 season.
Tripura couldn’t progress past the group stage in either tournament, but Mandeep still managed to impress together with his form.
Within the Ranji Trophy, Mandeep struck an unbeaten 124 and notched up five half-centuries, passing the fifty-run mark in every match he played last season. The hundred got here against Services and the match resulted in a draw.
Mandeep hit three fifties within the Vijay Hazare Trophy, including a top rating of 94 against Bengal and added two more half-centuries within the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20s. The match against Bengal resulted in a no result.
After 15 years with Punjab, where he led them to a Syed Mushtaq Ali title, ending a 30-year wait, Mandeep switched to Tripura.
The star allrounder’s side for the upcoming season is yet to be confirmed.
