The AEW star shared the news on social media with a straightforward post saying “Success” alongside a photograph of his bandaged knee. The surgery addresses an injury that had been troubling him since 2019.
Strickland’s knee injury was featured in recent AEW storylines, and the recovery timeline stays uncertain in the meanwhile.
This surgery comes after Sunday’s AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2025 pay-per-view event, where AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Odaka attacked Strickland’s knee following his successful title defense.
