Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz lead Pakistan to a 31-run victory over United Arab Emirates in Sharjah, bagging their second T20 tri-series win.

Star Pakistan batter Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz scored fifties as Pakistan beat the United Arab Emirates by 31 runs in Sharjah on Saturday, August 30, bagging their second victory within the T20 tri-series featuring Afghanistan as well.
Opener Ayub smashed a 38-ball 69, including 4 sixes and 7 fours, while Nawaz’s 26-ball 56 featured six sixes, helping Pakistan reach 207 all out in just 20 overs.
Asif Khan threatened an unlikely win for the UAE with a superb 35-ball 77 before being dismissed within the last over.
The UAE managed 176-8 from their 20 overs.
Skipper Muhammad Waseem also hit a breezy 18-ball 33 but was run out within the sixth over.
Earlier, Pakistan’s innings was built across the excellence of Ayub and Nawaz after they won the toss and elected to bat first.
Once Pakistan lost Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, and skipper Salman Agha cheaply, it was left to Ayub and Hasan to rescue the team.
Ayub’s fourth T20I half-century got here off just 25 balls, while Nawaz reached his fifty in 24 deliveries with a hat-trick of sixes off spinner Haider Ali.
Nawaz added 57 runs for the fifth wicket off just 25 balls with Mohammad Nawaz, who contributed a 15-ball 25.
Faheem Ashraf chipped in with 16 as Pakistan scored 64 runs within the last five overs.
Junaid Siddique and Saghir Khan took three wickets each, but were each expensive.
Afghanistan, which lost to Pakistan by 39 runs on Friday, will face the UAE in the following match on Monday.
