Brad Pitt Splurges On $12M House With ‘Optimal Security’ After Burglary Incident

Brad Pitt has purchased a $12 million Spanish-style estate in Hollywood Hills’ Outpost Estates.

In keeping with reports, the movie star is prioritizing privacy and security after a significant burglary incident at his Los Feliz home.

Two 18-year-olds have since been arrested in reference to the June break-in at Brad Pitt’s home.

Pitt has added a brand new property to his portfolio, picking up a Spanish-style estate in Los Angeles for around $12 million. In keeping with sources, the house appealed to him for its mixture of privacy and powerful security measures.

The estate previously belonged to Dave Keuning, guitarist for The Killers, and his wife, Emilie, an interior designer. That they had put the property in the marketplace in June for just below $14 million, having purchased it in 2021 for about $9.6 million from Joel Simkhai, the founding father of Grindr.

Insiders say Pitt’s interest in a safer home intensified after his nearby mid-century residence was recently broken into. Still, the actor had been prioritizing safety and seclusion well before the burglary.

“He wanted somewhere that might provide an optimal security system and privacy, and this place caught his eye,” a source told the Latest YorkPost. “Long before his home was burglarized, security was all the time a priority.”

Tucked contained in the Hollywood Hills’ exclusive Outpost Estates, once home to stars like Orlando Bloom and Ben Affleck, Pitt’s recent residence offers each scale and seclusion.

Spanning roughly 8,385 square feet, the property sits securely behind gates and layered privacy measures.

The house, built around 1989, was designed with security in mind, featuring prewired alarm systems and mature landscaping that shields it from outside view. Visitors enter through a fortified gate that results in a hand-laid brick motor court.

Inside, the architecture combines timeless touches — arched corridors, exposed wood-beam ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling glass with custom details, corresponding to a tin-paneled ceiling adorned with sunflower motifs and an office illuminated by floral-inspired lighting.

The estate holds six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a soaring double-height foyer, and a personal theater. Outside, there is a swimming pool, vegetable gardens, a hearth pit lounge, and panoramic views stretching from the town lights to the ocean.

This acquisition further expands Pitt’s status for curating architecturally significant properties. In 2022, he dropped $40 million on a dramatic clifftop retreat in Carmel Highlands. He also sold a sprawling Los Feliz compound for $33 million last 12 months.

As for the $5 million Los Feliz residence that was burglarized in June, records show it was already under contract to be sold before the break-in occurred. Authorities have since arrested two 18-year-olds, Jaquory Arman Watson and Damari Zair Charles, in reference to the burglary.

In keeping with People Magazine, each face first-degree burglary charges together with an enhancement for allegedly working together. Investigators say the pair also targeted one other home in Orange County on August 7.

In keeping with the LAPD, the break-in at Pitt’s residence happened around 10:30 p.m. when suspects forced entry through a front window, ransacked the situation, then fled the situation with miscellaneous property. Fortunately, Pitt was not home throughout the incident.

Meanwhile,  Pitt is facing renewed scrutiny over a long-running class motion lawsuit tied to a tragic chapter from 2005.

The case stems from claims brought against his charitable foundation, which oversaw the development of homes for Hurricane Katrina victims in 2007.

While the Oscar-winning actor has consistently denied any personal wrongdoing, residents alleged the homes were poorly built and required nearly $20 million in repairs.

In 2018, greater than a decade after the homes went up, the homeowners filed suit against Pitt, the inspiration’s leadership, and others involved within the project.

Attention on the case has resurfaced with the discharge of a brand new Spike Lee documentary examining Katrina’s devastation and Pitt’s philanthropic efforts in its aftermath.

As reported by The Blast, the law firm representing the residents has gathered extensive documents and financial records that they are saying will strengthen their claims.

As a part of the proceedings, Pitt and other defendants may soon be required to take a seat for depositions.

The court has ordered that every one testimony related to the lawsuit be accomplished by December 3, with lawyers signaling they intend to query Pitt and extra witnesses as early as October.
