Deontay Wilder reveals date for boxing return amid links to Anthony Joshua super fight

Former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is about for a return to the ring, quite soon, in truth.

Snapping his two-fight losing skid earlier this summer, former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has been linked relentlessly with a bunch of high-profile fights in his return.

Namely, the Tuscaloosa native has been tied to a showdown with incoming headliner Dave Allen, who fights tonight in Sheffield against the 6ft 5in Russian giant Arslanbek Makhmudov.

Nonetheless, amid links to an overdue pairing with fellow ex-world champion Anthony Joshua, too, Wilder has provided a firm update on his return to the squared circle.

Seemingly on a collision course with Watford megastar Joshua since their title reigns in 2017, Wilder has to date did not share the ring with the Brit.

Nonetheless, planning a return to motion to construct some momentum in his bid to land a second world championship in the game, Wilder confirmed he has agreed to make a return to the ring as soon as January.

“I do have something coming up,” Wilder told streamer Neon. “We’re looking in January. I’ve signed the contract already.
