Reinier de Ridder tipped as massive threat to Khamzat Chimaev
Starting his own Octagon tenure in roughshod fashion, former two-weight ONE Championship kingpin de Ridder has turned in a slew of eye-catching wins.
And already submitting the above-mentioned Holland prior to this weekend’s clash, de Ridder ended the surge of former champion Robert Whittaker in a high-profile summer headliner in Abu Dhabi.
Touted as an enormous star at 185lbs, de Ridder has already been identified as a possible future challenger to the unbeaten Khamzat Chimaev, ever since his title ascension against Dricus du Plessis back in August.
So far as former welterweight title chaser Gilbert Burns is anxious, de Ridder likely has one of the best probability of toppling Chimaev’s title reign when put next to his divisional peers.
