TSN: The Toronto Maple Leafs have spoken to groups about Nick Robertson, in accordance with Darren Dreger, as speculation surrounding the forward continues.
“The 24-year-old finds himself yet one more time in a really familiar spot with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and he’s hoping for a bigger role, opportunity within the National Hockey League. He’s pushing 160 NHL games. I do know that Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving has recently talked with clubs which will have some interest in Nick Robertson. Given the depth that the Maple Leafs have, it’s a troublesome spot for Robertson. So perhaps it’s time to provide him a fresh start some other place.”
