Din Thomas says booking Ronda Rousey in a fight could be ‘irresponsible’ at this stage

After becoming one in every of the most important stars in the game with an undefeated 12-0 run, her profession ended with back-to-back knockout losses at UFC 193 and UFC 207.
Din Thomas, who recently made his UFC commentary debut, believes that it isn’t an issue of how well Rousey would do but whether she should even be given the go ahead to compete in the primary place.

In her 2024 book titled ‘My Fight’, ‘Rowdy’ openly spoke about her previous issues with concussions and the way she believes they impacted the ultimate few outings of her profession.
Thomas recently told MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn on ‘The Bohnfire’ that he thinks it could not be good for the game to have someone competing after they’ve spoken about their previous health issues in such detail.
“She shouldn’t even be cleared,” Thomas said. “How irresponsible wouldn’t it be for a fight organization to listen to all that then put her in a fight? To me, it almost feels like you would possibly’ve leaked that stuff in hopes they don’t put you back in a fight.
“You possibly can’t play with those issues. It wouldn’t be good for the game. It could be an actual bad look on the game to have some complaining about those kind of issues, and then you definitely, knowing that, you continue to put her in a fight. If that’s the case, we’ve got to maintain her out of the octagon.”
