Paul Scholes fears three of Manchester United’s most experienced players can not deal with the rigours of Premier League football.
Ruben Amorim’s side enjoyed a morale-boosting win prior to the international break, recording a 2-0 home victory against Sunderland.
Three points against the newly promoted side represented a much needed shot within the arm for under-fire manager Ruben Amorim who continues to be battling to avoid wasting his job as he approaches his one yr Old Trafford anniversary.
United have undergone a big transformation when it comes to personnel over the course of the last 12 months but appear a ways from being the finished article.
Summer recruits Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Senne Lammens
have all shown a measure of promise but further squad surgery will likely be required if the Red Devils are to challenge the Premier League elite again.

And with success within the English top flight increasingly reliant on fitness and sturdiness, Scholes fears a trio of United’s elder statemen are unlikely to have long-term futures under Amorim.
He told The Times: ‘Shaw, Maguire, Casemiro, they’ve all been great players but they’re at a stage of their profession now where you get discovered within the Premier League if you happen to’re not physically ok.

‘Their bodies will not be athletic enough, they’re not strong enough, they’re not quick enough. They’ve dropped to a level where they will’t deal with what’s needed within the Premier League.
‘Every player within the Premier League is an absolute machine. They’ve got five per cent body fat, they will run, they’re strong, they will head it. Manchester United are carrying two or three players which are just not able to living with it.’
Amorim, meanwhile, has challenged his players to point out they’re heading in the proper direction in Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.
The Red Devils travel to Anfield bidding to shut to inside two points of their opponents and with a rather more positive feeling across the club following the victory over Sunderland before the international break.

United haven’t won at the house of their great rivals for nearly a decade, but they’ve taken some extent from their last two visits, including January’s 2-2 draw.
‘We played well,’ said Amorim, who’s yet to oversee back-to-back wins within the league. ‘I used to be really upset at the tip of the sport because we proved that day that we will compete against any opponent.
‘I do know that it’s special for our club, I do know they’re fighting on a regular basis for the variety of titles, I do know what it means to the fans. But it surely’s one game that we want to prove again that we’re playing higher.
‘I believe we’re playing higher. We’d like to do higher in each boxes. It’s another game that we want to win.’
