Selena Gomez has hit back at Hailey Bieber after the model said she doesn’t feel the have to be competitive with the singer as she’s not inspired by her.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, the founding father of Rare Beauty urged fans to stop overanalyzing, adding that it’s “nearly relevance, not intelligence.”
Despite past fan speculation, each Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez have denied any feud, even posing together in 2022 to squash the rumors.

Gomez addressed Hailey’s recent comments in a now-deleted Instagram post.
Earlier this week, Hailey, the wife of singer Justin Bieber, told WSJ Magazine that she “doesn’t feel competitive” with people she doesn’t find inspiring, calling the continuing comparisons between her Rhode Beauty brand and Gomez’s Rare Beauty “annoying.”
She explained, “It is often annoying being pitted against other people. I didn’t ask for that. When people wish to see you a certain way and so they’ve made up a story about you of their minds, it’s less than you to vary that.”
In her now-deleted response, Gomez urged fans to ease up on the scrutiny and leave Hailey alone.
She wrote that the model’s words “don’t affect my life” and emphasized the importance of kindness.

“It’s nearly relevance, not intelligence,” Gomez continued, per the Each day Mail. “Be kind. All brands encourage me. There’s room for everybody. And hopefully we are able to all stop.”
These comments come amid ongoing fan speculation about tension between Gomez and Hailey, though each have consistently denied any feud.

In 2022, Gomez and Hailey posed together on the Academy Museum Gala to place rumors about their relationship to rest.
A source near the “Kill Them With Kindness” singer told E! News on the time: “They were at the identical event and were asked to take a photograph together. They agreed and decided to clear up the rumors once and for all.”
The source added, “They wanted to point out that there is really no hate between them and that they’re each in a very good place. It was a moment and a chance to place all the noise behind them, and so they took it.”
