Starfield On PS5 Won’t Be Announced Until 2026 – Report

Microsoft hasn’t officially unveiled a PS5 port for Starfield, but a brand new report states that announcement will come next 12 months. The RPG from Bethesda Game Studios has long been rumored for PS5 as increasingly Xbox first-party games get ported to Sony’s system.

Reliable leaker NateTheHate2 stated on X that Starfield will likely be revealed for PS5 in 2026 while responding to a matter in regards to the port. In August, a report noted that the RPG is about to launch on Sony’s system within the spring–possibly alongside a second expansion. Actually, Bethesda appeared to tease the name Terran Armada in a two-year-anniversary video for Starfield back in September.

Now Playing: Starfield Is Going Through An Identity Crisis

At the start of the 12 months, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer would not rule out Starfield coming to PS5. Then, in March, the Bethesda Creation Kit website even featured a PS5 logo for a Starfield mod at one point.

Starfield might come to greater than just PS5, too, as NateTheHate2 previously said the RPG is about to release on Switch 2 in 2026. Xbox is bringing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to Switch 2 next 12 months, while PS5 has seen plenty of huge Xbox-published games. As such, there may be clearly precedent for Xbox to support these systems with its titles.

Originally launching in 2023, Starfield is simply available for PC and Xbox Series X|S currently. For more, try GameSpot’s Starfield review.
