Mohamed Salah has deleted references to Liverpool on his X account after the team’s 5-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt within the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Salah was dropped to the bench for the sport in Germany as goals from Hugo Ekitike, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai sealed the win for Arne Slot’s side to finish a run of 4 straight defeats.
The 33-year-old has come under fire for his poor performances this season and has now did not rating or assist in his last five appearances for Liverpool.
Salah also angered Liverpool fans after coming on as a second-half substitute against Frankfurt as he opted to shoot from close range as an alternative of squaring the ball for Florian Wirtz to attain an easy tap-in.
Liverpool supporters have now been left puzzled by Salah’s actions after the match because the forward has removed an image of Liverpool’s Premier League title celebrations from the header on his X profile.

Salah has also modified the profile picture from him in a Liverpool shirt holding the Premier League trophy to at least one where he’s along with his two children on a beach.

When asked before the sport if it was a difficult decision to bench Salah, Slot said: ‘The primary answer is all the time yes. But that can also be to do with Mo and all of the players I even have.
‘Each time I choose a team, it’s all the time difficult because I even have so many good players. That’s also the explanation why I exploit these players.
‘I liked the best way we ended the sport against United. Mainly the second half. Created a variety of possibilities.
‘And Ryan [Gravenberch] is out, so meaning we’ve to restructure our midfield a bit bit as well – defensively and offensively. So all along with the best way Frankfurt often plays, we decided to start out like this.
‘But as all the time, I even have players who start the sport and I even have players who can impact the sport off the bench and that’s [the case] today as well.’
