The Recent York Rangers entered Thursday night’s home game at Madison Square Garden with a seemingly golden opportunity to get back on the right track following a previous loss to the Minnesota Wild. As an alternative, Recent York became the primary victim within the 2025-26 NHL season of Macklin Celebrini and the San Jose Sharks.
The Sharks, who began the day winless through six games, got here away with a 6-5 win via extra time within the Big Apple.
The loss to San Jose left forward J.T. Miller and defenseman Adam Fox furious concerning the Rangers’ effort against a supposedly very beatable opponent.

Recent York barely won the possession battle over the Sharks, because the Rangers outshot the visitors, 27-24. The Rangers even had more quality looks on offense, as evidenced by their 13 high-danger shots to simply seven by the Sharks. But Recent York didn’t make the stops when it mattered.
